Swimming is part of the National Curriculum with the expectation, that by the end of KS2, children are able to:

• swim competently, confidently and proficiently over a distance of at least 25 metres
• use a range of strokes effectively [for example, front crawl, backstroke and breaststroke]
• perform safe self-rescue in different water-based situations

We are incredibly fortunate to have our own on site outdoor pool.  All children from Year R-Year 6 have swimming lessons during the Summer Term.  We believe this to be an important life skill, especially with us being lucky enough to live so close to the beach.
