Children's mental health

Mental health and well-being of our children is something we strive to support.  We know children learn best when they are happy and their emotional needs are being met.  Please do speak to us if you have any concerns about your child.  Please also use the link below to access further support and guidance.

Government Guidance

Support for Parents and Carers

Mrs Forster and Mrs Griffin offer a regular informal coffee morning where you can drop in and have a friendly chat about any issues you may be concerned about.  Please speak to them in confidence if you would like any support.  Dates for future meetings will be sent out via Dojo.

Emotional Well-being

We are able to offer a range of interventions to support children's well-being:

ELSA
ELSA helps to support the emotional needs of children and can help with social skills, friendship issues, self-esteem and bereavement.  It can be one to one or small group depending on what kind of support is needed.
Thrive
Thrive promotes children's mental health and helps them to become more emotionally resilient.  Thrive sessions can also be one to one or small group, depending on the needs of the child.
Drawing and Talking
Drawing and Talking is a short term, time-limited therapy to be used with anyone (age 5+) who has suffered trauma or has underlying emotional difficulties. It supports those who are not realising their full potential either academically, professionally or socially.
Please talk to us in confidence if you feel this would benefit your child.
