Pupil's Learning in the Spring Term

Year R

The children all enjoyed arriving back to school to the mysterious egg in the Forest area. This led on to a great learning journey all about Dinosaurs. We have had another exciting week this week when Mrs Croad was turned into a Pirate by Pirate Pete. We have made our own Pirate Pizza’s which everyone loved doing.

Year 1/2

In Science, the children have been exploring lots of different materials and discovering what makes them strong, bendy, waterproof or light. Using this knowledge, they will become mini engineers and design and build their very own Moon Buggy! We can’t wait to see their creative ideas blast off!

Year 3/4

The children have been learning about the water cycle and rivers. In music, they are enjoying learning a song about the water cycle. Maybe they can show our key value of be confident and sing it to you!

Year 5/6

We have headed to the Amazon rainforest in our learning this half term! In English, the children are reading the Explorer about four children who find themselves in the Amazon rainforest. In geography, children are learning about different biomes with a focus on the different layers found in tropical rainforests. In art, they will be using our key value of be creative to design and make a rainforest animal clay tile.
