We are delighted to be able to start to offer Forest School on our own grounds at East Wittering Community Primary School!

What is Outside Learning/Forest School?

Forest schools have become a popular phenomenon in many primary and preschool settings. It involves children taking part in woodland activities using tools, taking guided risks and enjoying time outdoors (in all weathers), caring for the environment and using creativity. Children will get to experience a range of activities from den building to artwork to treasure trails and using tools. Knowledge and self-esteem grows through activities carried out. Research shows spending time in the outdoor environment nurtures children into adults who care about the environment.
