Forest School at EWCPS

At our school, we are proud to offer an enriching on-site Forest School experience, where children have the opportunity to learn and explore in a natural outdoor environment. Our Forest School sessions provide a safe, nurturing space for all children to develop confidence, independence, and a deep connection with the world around them.

Through hands-on activities such as den building, nature exploration, tool use, seasonal crafts and cooking on the fire-pit the children are encouraged to take supported risks, solve problems, and work collaboratively. These experiences help to build resilience, creativity, and curiosity—skills that support learning both inside and outside the classroom.

The children access and enjoy the woodland environment, whatever the weather. Forest School is an important part of our curriculum, promoting wellbeing, physical development, and a lifelong appreciation for nature
